Based in Regional Queensland, Clay is Benchmark's Regional resources, mining and logistics sector specialist. 

Working closely with Benchmark’s Corporate division and Mergers and Acquisitions team, Clay is constantly on the lookout for profitable regional businesses to take to Benchmark’s Australia wide network of buyers. 

From the experience of successfully exiting his regionally based business, Clay understands the steps involved in building successful businesses and exiting for profit. More importantly, he enjoys helping his clients reap the rewards of not only a financial windfall but the personal rewards in moving on from their beloved enterprises. 

Clay is passionate about Regional Australia and the opportunities it entails. Being based in the heart of the Queensland resources and mining industry, Clay has a unique insight in what sets regional businesses apart and what makes them attractive to both local and larger strategic, multi-national buyers. 

Most of all, Clay believes in being consistent, reliable and accountable to his clients and thoroughly enjoys helping them move on new experiences and opportunities.

One of his proudest achievements is being part of a small group who raised over $1,000,000 to assist rural producers affected by the devastating 2019 Floods in NW QLD using his vast network of contacts. 

Personally, he loves spending time with his family, golfing, mud crabbing and fishing…. And always in that order!
